Celebrating two centuries of service (and counting!)
It was an unprecedented occasion in the Ferrari North Shore boardroom last week as Phil and Simon McCarroll hosted a lunch for an ultra-exclusive part of the McCarroll's family.
Each of the invitees has been with McCarroll's for two decades or more, with proven track records of professionalism, warmth, and—of course—impeccable customer service.
"It's a cliche that there's no substitute for experience, but in this instance that's unquestionably true," said Phil McCarroll. "Many of the people with us here today started at the original Phil McCarroll Toyota dealership in Waitara, or began alongside us at Lexus of Chatswood. And while they've held various roles over the years, they have one thing in common: they're not just brilliant at their jobs, they're wonderful people."
"They've been the bedrock of McCarroll's Group's success, and they're also people I'm delighted to call friends."
Spare Parts Interpreter Richard Loughnan holds McCarroll's employment record, with his 36-year stint beginning in 1986. He pips Workshop Beatrice Low (35 years) and Anthony Roberts, with 29 years of service. Also attending were Nicaso Sode and Scott Stoneham (25 years), and Peter Wiltshire (22 years), Yiu Chuen Wong (21 years), and Joshua Ranaldo (20 Years). Only Mandy Phelps-Ross, with 22 years in the McCarroll's family, was unable to make it to Sydney for the event.
"The secret to success in any business is its culture," said Simon McCarroll, "which is entirely driven by the staff who work there. The reason McCarroll's has excelled is pretty obvious when you look at the people in this room."
